BNR Valve Springs 1.4T Cruze/Sonic. It’s common knowledge that the factory valve springs on the 1.4T motors are weak. At boost pressures greater than 21psi you will begin to see valve float after 5500RPM, where the valves are no longer closing fully. These valve springs are much stronger and have been torture tested extensively and are used by many 1.4T race engines. A customer’s built 1.4T running a larger Turbonetics turbocharger, BNR Forged Pistons and a balanced rotating assembly was able to run 24psi all the way to 8900RPM without valve float. If you want serious boost from your 1.4T, these are an absolute requirement! 100% MADE IN USA! OEM Dimensions allow use of OEM retainers and locks. Seat Pressure raised from 44.5LBs to 70LBs. Open Pressure raised from 78.5LBs to 115LBs. Installed these on my Cruze before going with the GTX250. Install is a pain but worth the peace of mind pushing 25psi at 6k rpm. You’ll need special tools for the install and about 7 hours.
